David McHenry's 'Drawing the Line' is a technical hand drafting guide for film and television set building. The book covers all aspects of scenic technical drawings by hand, a technique still used in film and television today.


I first came across 'Drawing the Line' in 2019 during a lecture on architecture writing styles. I've since refereed back to it for both my floor plans and extended elevations. With the Covid19 outbreak and subsequent Lockdown I have been unable to continue using the university's book as a point of reference and learning aid for my technical drafting development. In order to continue pursuing improvement in this area I have decided to purchase my own copy of the book.
